Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into a family of mixed blood. Her mother and father were both English. Her family was lived in a housing estate run by the council in the south of London. In the ages of 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She was a student of acting in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. While attending the academy, she performed in numerous stage productions such as The King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career by starring in a movie titled Storm Damage. Over the past few years she has appeared in Teachers and Doctors. Madekwe's debut film came from the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred alongside Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. In the wake of that film's success, she played Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN, and appeared in six episodes of Trexx as well as Flipside in the role of Ollie. The ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe also appeared on the comedy How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). Her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe was chosen to play Ashley Davenport for the ABC Drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode drama aired just 2 weeks at The CW and then it ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. Madekwe's departure from the series was officially announced in May of 2013. After a period of two years as the main character she made a guest performance in the first episode of season three. Madekwe starred as Tituba in the TV show Salem between 2014 and 2016. From June to July 2012, the actress was married to her long-time love, actor Iddo Goldberg. They've collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he was a character on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, is a member of a huge family in Hamilton, Ontario. Her parents, Roy and Patty along with the four brothers of her, Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley's brothers, who were each of them extremely athletic, played hockey during the winter and baseball during the summer, so they grew up mostly in baseball and arenas. Ashley was unable to walk, but could dance. As a result, when she turned 2 She discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley became passionate about dance following this. After graduating from High School, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of ballet, tap, jazz and pointe as well as acrobatics, lyrical, musical theatre and hip-hop. Ashley was awarded the top soloist award at every major dance event, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more, just to mention a few.
